Society Regarding Climate Change By: Ashton Mitzel

Long-term change in weather, precipitation, winds etc. There are natural factors that contribute to the change of climate such as: I.Changes in volcanic activity II.Solar output and extreme weather III.Earths orbit around around sun and more However the actions of humans play a big role towards the change of climate

Since the Industrial Revolution humans have greatly influenced the change in climate Activities such as burning fossil fuels or the conversion of forestry for agriculture emitting of harmful substances into the atmosphere

Since average temps regulated by balance of incoming and outgoing energy, climate change can occur when there's a change to the incoming and outgoing energy Effect of Human activities has been a warming effect due to emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses

There are many simple things society can do to help save the environment such as : Reducing your intake of read meat (animals such as cows and bulls contain climate changing gases) Using less electricity by unplugging and turning of electronics

Reducing water usage Driving car less as it releases greenhouse gasses into atmosphere Solar panels and recycling

Since everybody is different not everyone will be willing to make changes in their day to day lives Since people have different interests Different levels of concern towards our environment Some are lazy and like to do quickest/easiest thing What people like to eat How active or willing to use car less Or how much energy one one will conserve

I think that some people are completely oblivious to what is going on in our world today, that they wont even take time out of their days to try and protect our environment. They wont even go out of their way to make sure their pop can goes in the recycling. Some people just don’t care. Even though our environment is where we live however, in the end we are the ones that will suffer from climate change.

Many cities have began to take actin in regarding protecting our environment Very close by city, Coquitlam, has taken action by working on becoming carbon neutral and reducing greenhouse gas emissions Have Reduced energy consumption by installing LED lights, lighting control, waste heat recovery systems and many more Port Coquitlam has just highly encourage separating your food waste, recycling and garbage from each other as it would help out our environment Many cities are taking action, however now it is our duty to do the same and protect our environment

Government taking action The governments role in supporting efforts to address climate change: getting scientific research to help with decision making within Canada to promote a eco friendly country Inform people the harms they are doing to the environment and provide ways to protect the environment Come up with policies and laws in order to safe the environment Have taken action in trying to reduce amount of greenhouse gas emission into atmosphere

Some people believe that cities an the government are not doing enough to support and eco friendly lifestyle however, they can only do so much in regarding saving our planet. Our actions are one of the main contributors to climate change. It is our duties to actually care and try to protect our planet, not only for ourselves, but for our kids and their kids and so on. Because if how we are living continues to get worse, who knows what the condition of our atmosphere or our environment will be like
