Impact 1 Student Ministries was created as a call for teenagers to take on the responsiblity of reaching their generation for Jesus Christ, one relationship at a time. Every student within our ministry will not only be challenged to think locally, but also globally. Our goal is to equip and help our teenagers realize their full potential in advancing God's kingdom through ministry experiences, teaching and spiritual development, and relationships.
Throughout this year there will be many opportunities for teenagers to engage in ministry. Here are a few to look for. Music Ministry Mission's Trips and Ourtreach Serving in Wee Wonders and Kingdom Kids Dance/Drama Teams
Our process for teaching encompasses large group and small group experiences. The following are places to get plugged in. Sunday Morning - this is a large group experience that has a youth led and a large group teaching experience which is given by one of our student ministry teaching staff. These large group forums happen during the 9:30 and 11:30 Sunday morning worship times in the Impact 1 chapel on the second floor of the new building. Use the upper church entrance. Wednesday Evening - this is a forum designed toward creating a small group environment. It is in the small group environment that we believe communication can occur which helps to dig deeper into complex questions and allow each of our teens to not only receive information, but process it through hands on lessons, discussion, and activities. This forum is found on our church campus and begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays Events - Throughout our year we will participate in many events and activities which are designed to enhance the spiritual growth of our teens. Some that we will be participating in this year are; Fall Retreat, Winterfest, 30 hour famine, Youth camp, and Acquire the Fire. Each of these events has a spiritual emphasis and are designed to challenge our teens in their Christian walk.
We feel that relationships are crucial for helping our teens in their Christian experience. Our goal is to provide opportunities to build relationships through simply being around one another. In the fall 2011 we will begin to have a monthly "hang-out" experience. If any event requires money it will be announced a month in advance to provide opportunities to budget for that event. We are also in the process of Also we understand that technology can enhance our relationships so we encourage teens as well as parents to check out our Impact 1 blog site where questions, thoughts and discussions can take place.
