CDE Linked Learning Pilot Program Business & Education Collaborating for the Local Economy and Workforce Development

Linked Learning Pilot Program Initiative to develop and support systemic, district-wide systems and policy for the delivery of Linked Learning Pursuant to AB 790, CDE is authorized to administer the pilot programs and will facilitate technical assistance and other supports

Delivers an academically challenging course of study that focuses on a self-selected pathway. Engages students in a project-based classroom learning. Provides a safe, supportive school climate in a small learning community. Holds a promise to increase graduation rates. Linked Learning Pilot Program

How Students Will Benefit Challenging Academics: Provides access to a challenging academic component that prepares students success in Californias colleges and universities, including apprenticeships and other postsecondary programs. Demanding Technical Courses: Sequence of three year sequence of technical courses preparing youth for high-skill, high wage employment by emphasizing real-world applications Work Based Learning: Range of experiences at different stages of the high school experience i.e. job shadowing, internships, virtual apprenticeships and school based enterprises Support Services: Student support services, including supplemental instruction in reading and mathematics.
