Philosophy of Education Colin Crawford November 27, 2012

I am motivated by a strong desire to help children turn into leaders and become the foundation of our nation’s future.

I know that students learn in a wide variety of ways, so it is imperative that I create a well rounded environment that encourages growth and matches the needs of each individual.

I will show my students I am passionate about being successful and motivate them to form goals and push their own limits intellectually.

I am prepared to show students that learning is not confined to a classroom or subject; instead it is an attitude and mindset to carry throughout life.

It is vital that I, as a teacher, have an open mind when it comes to various teaching methods and that I be open to trying new things.

Every student in my classroom will know that respect is of utmost importance in school and in life.

My aim as a teacher is to enable kids to think with open minds and to consider all points of view, not just the popular beliefs.

I will set the ultimate example for my students through my verbal, emotional, and physical actions.

I will treat every student in my class the same regardless of social class, religion, race, mental capacity, or any other factors.

As our world grows and expands, it will be my responsibility to take advantage of all the benefits that technology offers.
