Process for Plan Development Conducted a needs analysis Created school profile Analyzed school data Solicited input from key stakeholders School staff Parents AGT Site Council Determined the best intervention model

Transformation Based on student achievement results, and an analysis of the needs and challenges of Shore Acres, the Transformation model was chosen The plan targets two essential areas: Interventions to increase learning opportunities Accelerate Language Development and Literacy

Transformation Strategies for Shore Acres Shore Acres, with Mt. Diablo district support, has developed a Transformation Plan with two essential strategies for change. Essential Strategy 2: Fully develop and implement a rigorous language development and literacy program

Improvement Goals The overall API for all students will reach 700 or above by 2010 Shore Acres will meet AYP targets in Spring of 2010 through safe harbor calculations in Language Arts and Math Shore Acres will meet all AMAO targets for English learners

Strategy 1: Develop and implement intervention programs for struggling students Effective August 2010 Reduce class size for students in Kindergarten, 1 st and 2 nd grades Develop and Implement a 2 nd grade Readiness class for students who have not mastered 1 st grade standards Expand the implementation of BoardMath from 30% to 100% Provide coach support in Language Arts and Math
