Animals are alike in some ways and different in others.

They all have certain adaptations that help them to live in their particular habitat.

Define adaptation.  an alteration or adjustment of a body part, or type of behavior, that fits an animal for a particular way of living.  My version: A change in a body part or behavior that makes an animal able to live.
