Clothes in the 60’s The 60’s had a very strange sense of style, they wore things like- go-go boots, pillbox hats that were invented by Jackie Kennedy, mini-skirts that were invented by May Quant, stiletto heels which were very popular! In the 70’s women would wear things like maxi dresses in the daytime and for the evening halter neck cat suits. People would also wear a type f shoe called platform shoes. For men they’d wear tie dyed shirts and bell bottom pants. Back then men and women would wear whatever they felt like wearing no matter what it looked like! During the 80’s people chose to wear things like – jelly shoes, leg warmers, oversized sweatshirts, parachute pants and guess what they even bought back polka dots! Back then their outfits would consist of some of these things. The 80’s are known for their outrageous brightly coloured clothes and would mix colours like bright yellow and red, blue and orange and pink and green! Clothes from 90’s you’re going to a 90’s disco party and don’t know what to wear... Here is some information that might help. In the early 90’s people would stick with bright colours but as time went by the dark colours took control. Women wore court shoes and cowgirl boots usually for shoes, and also wore baby doll dresses. Men would wear denim jackets and leather jackets for good clothing. Clothes these days are quite casual, popular people would set trends and everybody would try to follow them!
