New Meal Patterns COMMENT! COMMENT! COMMENT! Actions LEAs can take now: Encourage students to take fruits and vegetables. Limit starchy vegetables. Incorporate the vegetable subgroups into menus. Offer more whole grain food items. Decrease sodium by selecting lower sodium products and modifying recipes.
