The priority tasks for Research and Development 1. 1.To invest public resources in research and development more efficiently and effectively; 2. 2.To modernise scientific infrastructure in research institutes and higher education establishments, strengthen the leading role of higher educational establishments in the development of science and research; 3. 3.Consolidate the intellectual potential of science and develop applied research in the area of innovative technologies; 4. 4.To promote participation of Latvian science in the international co-operation projects.
