2 PECO Smart Ideas Savings Performance May % Goal May % Goal

3 PECO Act 129 Goal Progress Through August 2011, PECO customers have saved more than $141 million dollars in energy costs and received more than $50 million dollars in rebates and incentives through their participation in the PECO Smart Ideas programs »PECO achieved 961,812 MWh of gross energy savings which is 81 percent of the 1.18M MWh May 2013 compliance target »PECO achieved 170 MW demand reduction which is 50 percent of the 4.5 percent target of 355 MW target

4 PECO Smart Ideas Program Highlights  PECO customers have purchased more than 7.2M CFL bulbs  PECO has recycled more than 26,000 appliances  Approximately 275,000 rebates have been issued  PECO’s Low Income Energy Efficiency program has weatherized more than 12,000 homes and installed 454,000 CFL bulbs for low income customers since the program began in January 2010  PECO’s commercial and industrial customers have applied for 1,230 incentives totaling $7.8M for 117,114 MWh of savings  PECO GINP customers have applied for 312 incentives totaling $4.9M for 46,834 MWh of savings

5 PECO Residential Program Adjustment Highlights The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) recently approved changes to PECO Smart Ideas. These changes will take effect November 1, Smart Home Rebates  Refrigerators and clothes washers meeting standards based on Energy Star’s Most Efficient (ESME) 2011 criteria will continue to qualify for a rebate  Rebate payments for refrigerators and clothes washers meeting standards based on Energy Star’s Most Efficient (ESME) criteria will be $25  Energy Star window air conditioners rebate will remain at $25  Energy Star Heat pumps 15 SEER and above and central air systems 16 SEER and above will continue to qualify for a rebate

6 PECO Residential Program Adjustment Highlights Smart Appliance Recycling  Room air conditioners will no longer be eligible for pickup or qualify for a rebate  The rebate for refrigerators and freezers picked up and recycled will be $15 Smart Lighting Discounts  Consistent with PECO’s approved July 2009 plan, PECO will continue to provide incentives to help offset the cost of CFLs to customers  Discount focus will be shifted from standard CFL bulbs to specialty CFL bulbs (examples include three-way, dimmable, globe)  PECO will continue to educate customers on energy efficient lighting options and proper bulb recycling
