Challenges Maintaining enrollment in CTE courses when more and more emphasis is being placed on academic courses. Developing a mindset for teachers, students, administrators and parents of rigor and relevance in CTE courses. Emphasizing the importance of students becoming completers in a career focus.

Challenges Encourage school districts to require one unit of computer technology which emphasizes applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) as a graduation requirement. –Computerized Business Applications or Computer Applications I & II

Challenges Implement Input Technologies into Current Arkansas Keyboarding Frameworks. –Current technologies include speech recognition; handwriting recognition tools, such as Table PCs; scanners; PDAs, and other handheld devices. Educators must provide instruction on a variety of input technologies for successful academic, professional, and personal applications.
