Comanche By: Tyler McDonald Kayley Klingensmith Austin Krueger

Location They lived in the cross timbers. They also lived in Central Texas, and Northwest Texas. They lived in the Great Plains, and the staked plains.

Government They had to keep the people happy. If they didn’t keep the people happy the would be replaced. They had up to 12 band leaders. They also had to do a fair job.

Homes There poles had to be from 12 to 14 feet. They where decorated with paint and beads. There homes had to be movable. They where moved with horses.

Dress They used.... Buffalo in the winter The boys wore buckskin and boots. The girls wore blouses and boots too. They both wore moccasins. The boys wore breech clothes.

How they lived They hunted wild mustangs. They also hunted elk too. They ate plums, grapes, and acorns. There horse was the most important possession of the Comanche.

Weapons and Warfare They used bows and arrows. They bows sometimes were made out of hickory. The feathers were on there shields to throw of there aim.

Beliefs They were given a special medicine. The were sent on a vision quest to use there medicine for good or it would turn bad. That’s how the woman got their power through there husband.

Summary This place is a place in TX, called the Comanche. It is in the Great plains. These people had houses that were movable. They walked in the largest place in TX.
