Integration of the Three Dimensions Core Ideas Practices Crosscutting Concepts The practices are the processes of building and using the core ideas to make sense of the natural and designed world, and the cross cutting concepts hold the discipline together.

NSTA role with the NGSS Part of a Partnership – T he National Academies of Science (the NRC), American Association for the Advancement of Science, the National Science Teachers Association and Achieve Inc. Provided guidance and reviews directly to the National Research Council and Achieve Provided names of teachers for writers on the writing teams
