Provides foundation for community led planning policy including neighbourhood plans Planning policy. Required to be based on clear evidence and needs assessment Neighbourhood Planning. Option, not compulsory. Other routes exist. Qualifying Body. Neighbourhood plans can only be prepared by “qualifying body”, eg Parish Council Slide 6

CORSLEY PARISH COUNCIL Quarterly Meeting 9 th December Neighbourhood Planning – The Plan Content. There are no set guidelines but it should include: Local allocations for development. Employment, residential. Input from Core Strategy Outline specific requirements. Eg, open spaces and community facilities Related policies. Those relating to all development within plan area Timescales. Time to produce estimated to be 1-2 years Costs. Estimated between £17k - £63k, part met by Wiltshire, remainder by Qualifying Body Slide 7
