Psalms 119:11 What have you hidden in your heart and why?

Psalms 119:11 “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

Think about An Old Man sitting in a rocking chair On the front porch with an open Bible In his hands reading God’s Word!! An Old Woman sitting at the kitchen Table, after the dishes are done, with Her Bible open reading God’s Word!

Picture in your mind a teenager, lying On her bed at night with the lamp On and reading her bible before she Goes to sleep. A young man taking time out of his exercises and opens his bible and reads and study it!

Why do people read, study and meditate on God’s Word! In the hospital--- In the Nursing, Rehab— In the doctor’s waiting room— In the funeral home

What was hidden? THY WORD!THY WORD! God’s word..why not the word of someone else??? Why God’s words: 1.Because it is perfect. Jas. 1:25 but whoso 2.Because we are to live by it. Why have it in your heart? That I might not sin against God!. 1. Sin causes death. Rom. 6:23; Ez.18:4,20 We don’t want to die,separated from God! 2.Jesus used the word of God when he was tempted of the devil. Matt. 4:1-11; Prov. 24:9.

Used by Joseph to keep him from sinning!
