NMBI will continue to review systems Current Process POST POST Accreditation NMBI will continue to review systems (resources, culture, leadership & management, policies, procedures, service level agreements, memorandum of understanding, established referral pathways, clinical governance, quality and risk management, continuous quality improvement)

Following POST Accreditation ANPc must register as Advanced Nurse Practitioner Currently based on submission of a Portfolio / Form 2 from Employer, and Form 1 (transcripts from HEIs) Available at http://www.nursingboard.ie/en/join_register.aspx Must satisfy the Board that s/he has met criteria set by the National Council and that s/he has offer of employment in respect of the specified and accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner Post concerned

Registration as an ANP on the NMBI Division of the Register Be a Registered Nurse (Active Register) Be registered in the appropriate division of the NMBI Register Masters level or above with Substantive Clinical Component Clinical supervision (at least 500 hours); 7 years post registration experience; 5 years experience in the chosen area of specialist practice; Meets core concepts and associated competencies; Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (Portfolio); On-going clinical supervision arrangements

Registration as RANP PERSON Registered in relevant Division of the Register as RANP Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Current Processes and Procedures Advanced Practice POST ↓ Report to Registration Committee Decision Letter to Director of Nursing and Director of NMPD ANPc linked to the POST goes forward for Registration as ANP Must meet the criteria evidenced in Portfolio submitted / Form 1/ Form 2/ Registration Committee Decision
