EXPECTATIONS CONTINUED Students are expected to come each day prepared and ready to learn. They are to be respectful of peers and staff. Participation in class is a key component and students will be expected to engage in conversations with each other.

PURPOSE The purpose of learning and communication strategies is: To work on a variety of social skills based on IEP goals and student need. To understand expected and unexpected behaviors in a variety of settings. To gain skills to work as productive members of a group. To increase social awareness in game situations. To develop and maintain an organization system that supports the demands of middle school.

GRADING Grading in class will be based on participation. Three days per week will include direct instruction on specific social skills. One day per week will be spent on organization where students will learn to use Skyward, locate teacher websites and keep track of missing assignments.
