LOCH NESS MONSTER PROJECT STUDENT NAME:

ANALYSIS I have been asked to look at the information from the Internet about the Loch Ness Monster. I must decide for myself if I think that the legend is true or not. Then I will create a web page that tells an audience of primary school students about the facts and fiction around the monster. Key Learning: Research, checking information, building a website fit for audience & linking pages.

RESEARCH See if you can find the answers to these questions. Here are some links that might help you: monster-80-facts http:// monster-80-facts ness-monster-facts.shtmlhttp:// ness-monster-facts.shtml e/image/the_surgeons_photo/ e/image/the_surgeons_photo/

8. 1. Where is Loch Ness? 2. What is the nick-name for the Loch Ness Monster? 3. When was the first sighting of the Loch Ness Monster? 4. How long is Loch Ness?

5. Who was the first person to bring the Monster to the public with a report of a sighting of Nessie? 6. In 1987 a search was conducted to find the monster. What was it called? 7. How deep is Loch Ness? This is a famous photograph. Who took it? 9. What prehistoric creature is Nessie meant to be? 10. Looking at the websites, do you think that Nessie is real? Why have you come to that conclusion?
