To share information in four (4) critical areas for districts considering upgrading from the legacy STIOffice & STIDistrict applications to InformationNOW

 Preparation & Communication  Data Conversion  Training Stakeholder Groups  Management Oversight (Account)

 District-wide impact  Pre-Implementation Survey  Data Preparation Document  Management Oversight

 Published hardware (and related system software) requirements are located at STI Customer Website.STI Customer Website  Level 1 and Level 2 specifications also copied into this presentation.

 A high quality data migration from STIDistrict to InformationNOW, is essential to a successful implementation.  One of the most significant factors impacting the quality of the data migration is the current state of the data.  Since each school has their own STIOffice database, it’s important to review the data prior to the conversion.  STI provides a tool that accomplishes this review and identifies areas that may need attention prior to the data conversion.  This tool is called the Pre-Processor.

Pre-Processor Example 1

Pre-Processor Example 2

Pre-Processor—Duplicate Contacts Important Note: Logic built into conversion routine to automatically consolidate contact records, IF the following condition exists: If the name matches exactly, AND, the address or phone number matches.

Pre-Processor—Advantages 1)Pre-processor output may be generated multiple times. 2)Allows districts to use transition to cleanse data. 3)Cleaner data from conversion results in more effective training.

Typically 2 days in duration Covers System Configuration Review initial data conversion Admin Group Typically 1.5 days in duration Covers School admin functions such as, Attendance, transcripts, & enrollment End Users Typically.5 day in duration Covers classroom functions such as, Attendance, Gradebook, etc. (TTT or Lead) Classroom Personnel Training Stakeholder Groups

After Admin Group is trained, local environment becomes the Sandbox. Sandbox Environment Student Schedules for done in STIOffice and converted to InformationNOW. Individual scheduling in End User training. Student Schedules Additional training the following Spring (2014) on master schedule building and automated scheduler. Scheduling Training Notes About Training

 Regular conference calls with STI management team.  Provides avenue to deal with non-standard items.  Examples Include:  Custom third party integration  Latest information on releases  Immediate escalation of critical issues  Provides method for management oversight at district level.
