Our History & Mission Founded Oct 2004, Calpulli Tonalehqueh is an Azteca Mexica community based in San Jose, CA. The name is from the ancient Nahuatl language meaning the community of guardians who accompany the Sun. Our Mission is to provide a space where the community can practice the indigenous cultural traditions of Mexico, North America and the Western Hemisphere.
