Why introduce Subject-based Banding? To provide more flexibility to pupils with strengths and abilities that vary across subjects To encourage greater interaction among pupils with different strengths

How does Subject-based Banding work?

Direct School Admission (DSA) Secondary Exercise (DSA-Sec)  aims to promote holistic education  gives participating schools greater flexibility in selecting students  provides opportunities for students to demonstrate a more diverse range of achievements and talents in seeking admission to secondary schools  Each school has its own merit-based academic and non-academic criteria for selection
