WDB Composition Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Pinal Workforce Development Board LOYOLA Associates

All Workforce Development Board members are appointed by the Chief Local Elected Official Pinal Workforce Development Board LOYOLA Associates

Board Composition A. Majority (50 % plus 1) from Business WDB Chair from Business B. Not less than 20 % from Labor Organizations, Training Director Apprenticeship Program, may include Community Based Organization (CBO), Organizations with experience in addressing Youth C. Education and Training - Adult Education, Higher Education, may include CBOs with educational experience D. Governmental, Economic and Community Development, Wagner-Peyser, Vocational Rehabilitation, may include Transportation, Housing, Public Assistance, may include Philanthropic Organizations, E. Others Chief Local Elected Officials determines appropriate Pinal Workforce Development Board LOYOLA Associates

Local Area Plan A. Board develops and submits to Governor a Unified Comprehensive 4-year Plan, in partnership with the chief elected official; B. Support strategy described in State plan; and C. At end of first 2-year period, WDB shall review Plan and, in partnership with the chief elected official, shall prepare and submit modifications to the Plan to reflect changes in labor market and economic conditions or in other factors affecting the implementation of the Plan. Local Area Plan Contents A. Includes a description of the strategic planning elements; B. Description of workforce development system in Pinal County that identifies programs that are included in that system and how WDB will work with entities carrying out core programs and other workforce development programs to support alignment to provide services including programs of study authorized under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006; Pinal Workforce Development Board LOYOLA Associates

Local Area Plan Contents C. Description of how WDB, working with the entities carrying out core programs, will expand access to employment, training, education, and supportive services for eligible individuals, particularly eligible individuals with barriers to employment, including how the WDB will facilitate the development of career pathways and co- enrollment, as appropriate, in core programs, and improve access to activities leading to a recognized postsecondary credential (including a credential that is an industry-recognized certificate or certification, portable, and stackable); Pinal Workforce Development Board LOYOLA Associates

Local Area Plan Contents D. Description of strategies and services that will be used in Pinal County; E. Description of how WDB will coordinate workforce investment activities carried out in Pinal County with economic development activities carried out in the region; and F.
