You are cordially invited to attend a drop-in miscellaneous bridal shower honoring Chelsey Woodall, bride-elect of Jody Bramlett, on Sunday, August 30, from two until three- thirty o’clock in the afternoon, at First Landmark Baptist Church. (Note: They are registered at Wal-Mart, Target & McCoy-Tygart.)

CHURCH PICNIC Tonight we will have a church-wide picnic beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. The meat will be furnished, and you bring the rest.

CELEBRATION CHOIR REHEARSALS will resume this Wednesday night at 7:15 in the choir room after the summer break. NOW is the time to join the choir as they begin rehearsals on the Christmas musical.

FLOAT TRIP The youth will canoe the Spring River this Saturday, August 29. They will leave at 7:30 a.m. and return by 11:30 that night. The total cost for canoe rental and food for the day will be about $25. This Wednesday is the absolute deadline to turn in the waiver participation form. Pick up an info sheet in the Refuge or see Zach.

BEGINNING AUGUST 31 the evening services at 6:00p.m. will feature a presentation of Telling God’s Story written by OBU Professors Terry Carter and Preban Vang, which guides us through the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelations. If you are hungry for a greater understanding of God’s Word, you won’t want to miss this.

AWANA LEADERS A pizza lunch for all Awana leaders will be held next Sunday, August 30, following the morning worship. Awana workers are still needed. Contact Fara Newkirk if you are willing to serve!

CHILDREN’S CHURCH sign-up sheets are in the lobby or call the church office if you can help this year. Literature & supplies will be provided each week. We need you!
