Backyard Missions Week FBC youth will be doing mission work with youth from Landmark and Harmony churches around Sheridan on Monday through Wednesday, June 1-3, from 9:00 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. Youth, if you are participating, meet at the church each morning at 9:00 a.m. Bring gloves and a rake or shovel if you have one. Please wear work clothes and closed-toed shoes.

6. WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS SKATING PARTY Wonderful Wednesdays begins this week with a skating party at Tin Top Rink here in town. Parents, bring your kids, Grades 1-5, to the rink at 5:30 and pick them up at 7:30. Kindergarten children are welcome if accompanied by a parent. The cost is $6 a person. 7. YOUTH REFUGE Refuge this Wednesday will be at the Rec Center in Sheridan from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with youth from Landmark and Harmony. We will swim, play basketball and other games. Invite your friends and enjoy this time of fellowship with other area churches.

8. FOOD PANTRY The next food pantry will be on Saturday, June 6. To date, $1195 has been collected for the June distribution, plus donations of food items. Additional donations of food and/or money will be appreciated. If you know of someone who needs assistance, please contact the church office or a member of the Mae John Swaty Class.

9. DEACONS MEETING will be next Sunday morning, June 7, at 8:00 a.m. Deacons of the Month for June are Keith Newkirk and Charles Jones, with John Crews serving as alternate.

10. TUMBLEWEED TOWN (The West of the Way!) will be our VBS theme this year. VBS will be a one-day event on Saturday, June 13, from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Put this date on your calendar NOW and spread the word!

11. MISSION TRIP NEEDS See the boards in the lobby for items needed for the 2009 Mexico Mission Trip. The items are also listed on the back of your church calendar mailed out this week as well as in Sunday School rooms.
