The Mission The mission of the Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Local churches provide the most significant arena through which disciple-making occurs. (¶120, The Book of Discipline, 2012)

Disciple A Grace-filled Christ follower who puts faith into action

Vital Congregation A local church fulfilling the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by engaging the core process for carrying out the mission.

Mark 1:21-28 Who is the foundation of your faith?

Mark 1:21-28 What does the scripture bring to light for you?

Discussion Questions Who is Jesus to you? Who is Jesus to your congregation?

Discussion Questions Who was someone within your family instrumental in you becoming a Christian? Who was someone outside your family instrumental in you becoming a Christian? Describe a time you said yes to Jesus.

What is one thing you need to be able to tell your story? How do we help our congregations tell their stories?

What are you going to do about what you have heard? What steps or actions will your congregation take?
