Delivering Power & Water Efficiently In association with

Rural power and Water Delivery “The Solapac”

PRODUCT Invented in the UK; The Solapac is a mobile generation unit that can be installed in a few hours using local skills to deliver 3 phase, “grid-quality” power and World Health Organisation standard purified water to remote sites The Solapac has been designed to provide power 24 hours a day, 7days a week within with battery storage, integrating with a diesel generator or with supply from an electricity feeder. Conceived May 2012 from to meet the needs of construction sites; Initial Design Completed in July 2012; Launched at the Daily Mail Solar Event in Abu Dhabi September 2012; Integrated within the Solapac is a high output skid-mounted water purifier capable of producing high volumes of portable water that exceeds World Health Organisation (WHO) quality standards.; Providing both reliable, grid-quality power and high volumes of clean water, the Solapac can transform the health and quality of life for many and provide the means for future development through agribusiness and industry.

Straightforward Assembly

Pre-installed Electrics Market leading technology used within Solapac ABB Victron Technology pre-installed in an air conditioned section Remote monitored for ongoing operation and maintenance

Technical and economic barriers to accessing energy VALUE PROPOSITIONS Technical and economic barriers to accessing energy Cost of connection to the grid in the remote areas is a challenge; Insufficient power capacity/ Eskom unable to meet the energy demand; Lack of Information Technology Lack vaccines Lack water treatment Lack of sanitation Poor health Poor Education Low life expectancy Production of 8 tonnes of “WHO quality” water per hour using 2.5kWh of energy 100kWh of stored energy (OPzV batteries) 140kWh of solar power per day

The Community hub for power and Water

VALUE PROPOSITIONS Delivers solar PV hybrid power in standard transport containers; Sustainable clean power and water delivery Lower cost than common alternatives 25year performance guarantees Rural Development based on crop irrigation model; Creates rural wealth from the sale of additional crops Creates rural job Provides power to essential services Other Benefits; Significant power and water utility market Solapac supported by ABB Existing sales opportunities Significant growth and further investment opportunities

The Market: Africa No country has 100% power and water provision In South Africa it is estimated 12 Million people without power Solapac is one third the cost of diesel gensets Pay back 3 years Solapac provides “grid quality” power 24/7 solar PV by battery storage WHO standard water supply Each Solapac can serve 100+ homes
