Learning Activities to Support the Standard Procedure Sample and AssessmentTechnology ResourcesNETS Standards Students will explore books written by Mo Willems, with Super3 Skills, using all of the following: 1.Plan: Introduce Mo Willems as an author/illustrator. Find and choose books written by Mo Willems. 2.Do: Read aloud books by Mo Willems and discuss opinions about each story. 3.Review: Following each story, students will share reader responses through print and orally Students will be introduced to Mo Willems and several of his books, both print and online, to read and respond to. 1. It will include a short biography on Mo Willems and how he came to be an author/illustrator. We will show some of the strategies when creating a book. 2. Tell the children you will read a book to the class written by Mo Willems. Set the purpose. “While reading I would like you to think about what you like and/or dislike about the story. 3.Read the story and discuss opinions of book through turn and talk.
