Problem How can you prepare for a locust swarm?

Purpose I decided to do my project on locust swarms because it makes a huge impact on the people who live in Australia or anyplace just gets locust swarms a lot. For example, the locus swarm in Queensland, Australia left them without many of the trees. Another reason would be how I wanted people to remember that Global Warming can affect animal behavior. Also, I feel like nobody thinks it’s important. To inform people about locust swarms, that is why I did this project. Also, so I might be able to make people take animal swarms serious and so we could try to come up with a solution.

Hypothesis I think that as long as we have Global Warming we will have more locust swarms. A effect of Global Warming is increase in C02. CO2 makes plants put less protein in their leafs. When leafs have less protein a leaf eating creature must eat more to satisfy its hunger. So to find the nutrient they need, they will have to eat more trees. (In some bibles it says how God sent locust to show his wrath.) It will send them out further out into the world.

Data The locusts follow rain water and people in the area where the locust have invaded are worry because now grocery prices will go up. Some people say the reason why is because the government have neglected the problem at hand. The locusts are starting to head southeast. A possible reason could be that the locust think the leafs there will have an amazing amount of protein.

Procedure First try to see if any event involved locusts who came to their area. Find out more information. You should see what they say about the event in Google news and if that doesn’t work use the web or YouTube.com Find out how much locust they had there or how it is going to impact the people in that area’s life After you write it up give it to your teacher and use the comments to gave to change it for the better

Experiment Do some research on how people are prepared if a locust swarm came to there area. Then put the information in a instruction guide Make sure the things you put in it our valid

Results The results of global warming is that it makes invasive species come to the U.S. Another result is that we lose even more trees because there are C02 in the air Also, they come in huge swarms and by the end of the week most of the trees will be gone

Conclusion The more global warming continues the more locusts we will see. This will be very bad for farmers. It will also be very horrible for other people who aren’t farmers too because when we lose trees we also lose air. People are about to be affected, may be one way would be the prices at grocery stores go up. One of the only ways to stop this is to stop global warming.

Discussion The discussion is going to be on an important topic. That topic is “Why is the topic on locust swarms so important”? I am very sure the topic is important. Also, what stops a locust swarm from coming to New York City? These are some reasons why we must prepare for a locust swarm. The more we wait the less time we have. Another thing to think about is that the more global warming the more it is likely to happen that we will be attack by locust swarms. The reason why this is happening is because the Earth is trying to balance itself out. It is like cause in effect. So when you really think about it this is an important issue.
