2009 ACEP NATIONAL FACULTY TEACHING AWARD RECIPIENTS

J. Stephen Huff, MD " He was one of the founding faculty of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia in He has been very active with resident teaching throughout his career and continues to be one of the most active faculty with resident education. The residents have recognized him with outstanding teaching awards in the past.

Christine B. Irish, MD, FACEP “In this role, she has quickly emerged as one of the most dedicated and skilled clinician- educators within the residency. Dr. Irish chose to focus her attention and energy on ultrasound education and in this capacity she has contributed tangibly to the continued success, growth and advancement of our specialty, our department, and our institution.”

Amy H. Kaji, MD, MPH, PhD " Her recent teaching evaluations place Dr. Kaji as the top teacher in our department. Dr. Kaji’s peer evaluations place her among the top 10% of our faculty. Dr. Kaji presents several lectures each year on topics related to EMS and disaster medicine, consistently receiving excellent evaluations."
