Webquest Autobiography Project Overview: Although history involves events and famous heroes, it includes ordinary people like you. In fact, you have a story to tell that can make a difference in the world. Through this project, you will design a power-point presentation about the history of your life and a significant portrait of you. Materials: Assigned Handouts, Access to Internet and USB Drive (Jump Drive). No Floppy Disk Please. Format: All slides must be types neatly, no spelling and punctuation errors. Include pictures, clip art, and scanned photos when possible. Grading: This project is worth 100 points (Major Grade). 50 points for project being completed 30 points for creativity, pictures, clip art and scanned photos 20 points for correct punctuation, spelling and paragraph structure Due Date: Monday, December 17, 2007

Entries/Content Title Slide-Include your name, class period, and due date. Bio Poem-Short recap of your life in general using brainstorm questions and format provided. Family Tree- Research family trees online and download a template to use and to fill in using first/last names as far back as three generations (if possible). Role Model- Select one person whom you consider a positive role model and explain why you selected that person. (include picture) Likes and Dislikes- List (5) things you like and dislike about the seventh grade. TimeLine- List at least seven important events in your life from template online. Best Friend- Select one person whom you consider a positive influence in your life as a friend. Explain why this person is your very best friend, and if possible, include a picture of him/her. Music Artist- Choose your favorite music artist or group and explain why you listen to their music. (include picture) Vocabulary- Define (5) terms that you use on a daily basis when communicating with friends that adults may not understand. Be creative. Please, no profanity or obscene language. All About You- Include a summary about what makes you unique. List some of your hobbies, talents, and goals. Include a self-portrait (mandatory) that will leave the class with a sense of completeness about you.
