Definition : e-Care is about physical and psychological well- being in a digital world.

Effect of Computer Usage on Physical Health  Repetitive Stress Injuries  Repetitive Stress Injuries (RSI) are conditions cause by placing to much stress on a joint, and they vary in type and severity.  Example: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome,Tendonitis

 Back Pain  Back pain can happen when you sit on a chair for along period of time.  Example : Sitting on the chair in wrong position and for along period of time can cause back pain.

 Eye Strain  Defined as anything that causes discomfort or pain to your eye while viewing something.  Example : Looking at computer screen for along time.

 Musculoskeletal disorders(mds)  Can affect the body’s muscles, joint, tendons, ligaments and nerves.  Example : Rotator Cuff Syndrome, Epicondylitis

PROPER RECYCLING AND DISPOSING OF COMPUTER EQUIPMENT

 Use Only when necessary Purchase a monitor that does not consume so much power while it is inactive. If you need to leave it for a period of time, switch of your computer rather than leaving it on standby

 Donate Donate your computer to somebody who can benefits from it such as to a local charity. Remember to physically damage the hard disk so that the new owners will not be able to retrieve its sensitive contents.

Recycle Recycle your old computers as well as printer ink cartridges and toners. If your old computer is damaged beyond repair or is no longer fit for use, take it to the local recycling center.
