House animals are called pet. Pet is a companion animal that you take care of and that keeps you company. Farm animals used for the production of human and animal food. They also used in farm work.

In total there is said to be around 400 million dogs in the world. Those involved in dog breeding refer to males as ‘dogs’, females as ‘bitches’, dogs younger than a year old as ‘puppies’ and a group of offspring as a ‘litter’. Dogs perform many useful tasks for humans including hunting, farm work and security as well as assisting those with disabilities such as the blind. The average life span for a dog is around 10 to 14 years.

A group of cats is called a clowder, a male cat is called a tom, a female cat is called a molly or queen while young cats are called kittens. On average cats live for around 12 to 15 years. Cats spend a large amount of time licking their coats to keep them clean. Cats have powerful night vision, allowing them to see at light levels six times lower than what a human needs in order to see. Cats and humans have been associated for nearly years.

Cattle are herbivores that eat vegetation such as grass. There are well over 1 billion cattle in the world. Young cattle are generally known as calves. Adult females are generally called cows. Adult males that are not castrated are generally called bulls. Cattle are farmed for a number of agricultural products including meat and dairy products.

Geese spend most of the day foraging for food, which is primarily obtained by grazing. Geese fly in V formation. Geese have strong affections for others in their group. If a goose gets sick or is wounded, a couple of other geese may drop out of formation to help and protect him. They will try to stay with the disabled goose until he dies or is able to fly again. Geese use about 10 different sounds to communicate, depending on the situation confronting them.

Rats can harbor and transmit a number of serious diseases. They can also introduce disease-carrying parasites such as fleas, lice and ticks into your home. Mice invades your home seeking food, water and warmth. Each mouse can contaminate much more food than it eats.

Cockroaches can enter your home in many different ways, from the outside through cracks. The dust created by cast-off cockroach skins, dead bodies and droppings can aggravate allergies, especially in children and sensitive individuals. Ants can enter through even the tiniest cracks, seeking water and sweet or greasy food substances in the kitchen pantry or storeroom areas.
