ESS MAX IV in Southern Sweden - TITA A regional cooperation project for increased growth. The purpose of the project is to use the establishment of the research facilities to stimulate Growth, strengthen the Innovation structure, and promote Accessibility and Attractiveness in the region. TITA is the Swedish acronym for the above mentioned keywords.

Financing 44 co-financiers – all the municipalities of Skåne, Region Skåne, Lund University, Invest in Skåne, ESS AB, Malmö University, the County Administrative Board of Skåne, Kristianstad University, Region Blekinge, The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences Alnarp, the Blekinge Institute of Technology and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Budget approximately EUR 5,3 million

Relocation support Objective: Facilitating the establishment of international companies in the region by creating relocation support for them and their employees.

Marketing Objective: Ensuring investments by marketing the region internationally to potential suppliers, large corporations and institutions.

Meeting point - Lund NE Objective: Identifying success factors that will help create and design a physical environment for innovation and creative venues in the district of Lund North East.

Foresight Objective: Ensuring future development processes towards common goals by developing and further establishing the vision ‘Society for Science – Science for Society’.

ESS and MAX IV as an innovation catalyst for trade and industry Objective: Ensuring that the establishment of the research facilities generates innovative power for the whole region by creating new meeting places and optimise existing ones.

ESS and MAX IV, a growth factor for local and regional business Objective: Illustrating how trade and industry can benefit from the opportunities that the new facilities will offer by distributing information and promoting collaboration between municipalities, businesses and trade and industry players.

Urban planning and transport infrastructure Objective: Contributing to the development of the regional attractiveness by analysing future needs regarding urban planning and the need of infrastructure measures relating to the establishment of the research facilities.

Land availability registry Objective: Facilitate for companies to find the best available locations for their needs by establishing a land registry over available land for dwellings and businesses.

Pilot study for competence supply needs Objective: Preparing for future needs regarding competence and skills by completing a feasibility study and design a strategy that will answer questions about long-term competence development and supply.
