 Congaree National Park is located in South Carolina.  Here, you will find otters, bobcats, deer, yellow-bellied sapsuckers, woodpeckers, and owls.  It is 24,180 acres, 22,000 of which is covered with forest.  Cypress Creek, a canoe trail surrounded by cypresses, is a good place for spotting the animals.  I choose Congaree National Park because of the wildlife and the beautiful trails.

 Wrangell-St. Elias National Park is located in Alaska.  It is the largest national park in the United States, at 13,188,000 acres.  There are four mountain ranges, together containing 9 of the 16 tallest peaks in America.  There are more than 150 glaciers, and one of them is bigger than Rhode Island!  I chose this place because of its size, mountains, and beauty.

 The Old South Meeting House is found in Boston, Massachusetts.  This is where Sam Adams and the other leaders got ready for the Boston Tea Party, and awaited the news of whether the ships would leave or not.  I chose this place because of the history behind it.

 The Statue of Liberty was given to the United States of America on July 4, 1884 to celebrate the 100 th anniversary of America’s independence.  The French made it 111 feet and 1 inch tall, and it was made of 224 tons of copper.  It is now in New York.  I chose this place because of its national importance.

 Zion National Park is located in Utah.  The walls are Navajo Sandstone.  There are 900 species of plants not found anywhere else in Utah.  The canyon is usually viewed from the bottom up.  I chose this place because of the unique plants, willows to ponderosa pines and Douglas firs.

 The Golden Gate Bridge connects San Francisco with Marin County.  It was built in 1937, and is 1.7 miles long.  The top of it is 746 feet high.  I chose this place because of how long and tall it is.

 The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is located in Tennessee and North Carolina.  It is 521,490 acres.  It has many trails and paths that you can drive down, though most tend to stay in the car.  I chose this place because when I was there, it was utterly gorgeous, and the deer and black bear were cute.

 The Grand Canyon is located in Arizona.  It is1,207,403 acres long.  The Grand Canyon was formed by the Great Flood, and the Colorado River still flows through it.  The vast gorges are beautiful to look at.  I chose the Grand Canyon because I think it is beautiful, and you can see God’s creation and power very clearly.

 Yosemite National Park is in California.  761,267 acres long  Mule deer, pikas, chipmunks, brush rabbits, marmots, and charparral  800 miles of marked trail  I chose Yosemite because of the animals and beauty.

 Mammoth Caves located in Kentucky  52,380 acres on top  World’s Longest Known Cave System  365 miles explored so far  I chose Mammoth Caves because it is the world’s longest cave system.
