LIFE OF PI BY NATHAN STEIGER

SUMMARY the life of pi by Yann Martel is about a sixteen-year-old South Indian boy who survives on a boat with a tiger for 227 days. A intelligent boy, at the age of fifteen Pi learned Hindu from an early age he also adopted Christianity and Islam, and is devoted to all three religions. Pi and his family board a ship to move to Canada because of government issues an a strange event causes the ship to sink. and Pi is the only human to make it onto the lifeboat and survive. Along with Pi, there was a hyena, a zebra, a orangutan, and a tiger on the life bout too. The hyena kills the orangutan and the zebra and the tiger kills the hyena and pi and the tiger are all that’s left. Pi and the tiger end up on a Mexican beach. The tiger immediately runs into the jungle. Pi is found, fed, bathed, and taken to a hospital.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS Richard Parker(AKA the tiger)- a three-year-old Bengal tiger who is Pi’s only companion at sea. Piscine Molitor Patel- (AKA pi) strong willing brave determined and fierce
