Meaning of Acid Rain Acid rain when acid mix with the rain while falling down

Causes of Acid Rain Acid rain is caused of by chemical reaction, when compounds like sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides get into the air. They get high in the air and then they get mixed with Oxygen and Water and more compounds that becomes like acid and also gets in the air. They go very high and then they become Rain Snow etc.

Effect of Acid rain Acid rain effects every thing around us; Forests, Lakes, Streams, Forest soils, and it also cause decay (rotten/spoil) to statues building and ancient ruins.

Effect of Acid rain on Plants and soil Acid rain causes slow growth of forests it lets the leaves die other than being healthy and green. It effects the soil because when it rains the rain soaks the soil and it lets it neutralize from it. The effect of acid rain on trees it effects trees by landing on the soil then the trees root suck the acid rain and that's when it dies or weakens, this also the same way it effects plants.

Effect of acid rain to lakes and streams Acid rain effects lakes and streams because we drink from them and when they filter the water there might be acid in the water we drink that causes danger to us. How Acid rain effects fish acid rain causes low pH and increased aluminum which is toxic to fish.

Effect of acid rain to statues Acid rain causes decay to buildings from marble and bronze, which causes the decrease of it’s value then building would be cheap because the equipments are not good quality which makes it cheap.
