GOD OUR PROMISE KEEPER CHAPTER 26

God Our Promise Keeper Question: How can God keep His promises when His people are sinful? Answer: God fulfills His promises because He is faithful, not because we are good.

Nobody earns God’s promises (26:1-5).

“For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.” Galatians 3:18

Nobody earns God’s promises (26:1-5). Sin does not invalidate God’s promises (26:6-25).

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all— how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died— more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:31-34, 38-39

Nobody earns God’s promises (26:1-5). Sin does not invalidate God’s promises (26:6-25). God’s faithfulness transforms us (27:1-28:4).

God Our Promise Keeper Question: How can God keep His promises when His people are sinful? Answer: God fulfills His promises because He is faithful, not because we are good.

Application Trust God’s promises. Worship the Promise Keeper. Preach God’s unwavering love and faithfulness.
