Set Sail with New adventures, and excitement in the air Explode their typical Ideas, with out of the box thinking and activities A crew is only as good as it’s Captain. Keep my passion alive Navigate failures, student problems and life to find the right path. Allow students to be themselves and find the fun in learning X marks the spot! Everyone Enjoying the Learning Process

Part 1 I just completed my 3 rd year teaching, and my first year as a junior high teacher. Major game changer in how kids think. But when it comes to ideas I have I either find a piece of paper, sticky note, my phone, my Ipad anything I can write it down on. I almost always will call someone or tell someone my idea to help vent it out. I will then start a rubric or research the idea I have in order to see if it is possible.

Part 2 If your students didn't have to be there, would you be teaching in an empty room? – My class is a required rotational class in the local junior high. This past year was the first year for it so, most of the students wanted the old class back. I fought a lot of why do we need this and I fought my own personal issues of moving 5 hours from my family, getting married, and finding out I was pregnant. So to say that this year, if they didn’t have to be in my classroom would they? I would say I would have a 3 rd of my students who may come just for the fun of my class. They others would have nothing to do with my class. I know that this coming year will be so much better, because I will have adjusted to the age difference, being married, being away from home, and won’t be as sick and miserable as I was through the school year. I realized I lost my passion for teaching this past year due to life happening. I had to find that back and once I did, my lesson became more alive and I made better connections with my students. Do you have any lessons you could sell tickets for? – I have thought long and hard about this question. And for the most part based on my past year of teaching, I would say if I do have a lesson I could sell tickets to it would be my livestock facilities project. Students build a 3D model of a livestock facility I assign to them. They have to due research and follow a rubric. – I am planning on changing a whole bunch of things this year to make it more realistic for each student. 6 th grade will learn animal science, 7 th grade water quality, soil science, and 8 th grade will go to the wood shop. I am hoping to have more lessons I could sell tickets too.
