Today’s jobs REQUIRE at least a college degree School capacity is challenged KY student to counselor ratio 459:1 Fewer low income students complete college WHY GEAR UP?

Students finish high school but are not ready for college level work. Students not meeting EXPLORE benchmark by end of 8 th grade are not likely to meet ACT benchmarks by high school graduation without significant intervention. WHY GEAR UP?
