Internationalization of Academic Programs: The curricula would be of international quality or international benchmark so that degree obtained would be accredited, validated and recognized anywhere. Internationalization of curricula could also be accomplished through integration of international issues, concerns, problems or events in the course content as well as the area-comparative approach in the teaching of issue-based courses.

Curriculum Development In 2006, Diponegoro University received a grant from Islamic Development Bank (IDB). As part the grant is curriculum development for all undergraduate study programs in the University to match with the internationalization of curricula which will lead to internationalization of graduates
Academic Standard Ministry of National Education has regulated that undergraduate study programs across the country must have not less than 140 credit units and not more than 144 credit units to accommodate graduates competencies

Standardization subject As Diponegoro University has had an MoU with National Body of Standardization, standardization subject is recommended to be included in the curriculum of undergraduate study programs in the University to result in supporting or other competencies Forms of learning: – Hardskills – Softskills
Positioning of standardization course as hard skills: As a compulsory subject for all students in the department As a compulsory elective subject in one disciplines concentration This subject or course must appear in the curriculum and the suggested load is two credit units
Positioning of standardization course as soft skills: embedded in other courses plant visits guest lecture role playing discussion workshop simulation
Workshop: To raise awareness and understanding the importance of skill and knowledge in standard and standardization among academic staffs and to train future lecturers a workshop was conducted in cooperation with National Body of Standardization Workshop was attended by representatives of all Faculties within the University
Results: When the implementation of new curricula were started in the first semester of September 2007: two departments in the Faculty of Engineering have had standardization course in their curricula the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has put this subject into at least of department the Faculty of Law is introducing this knowledge by general lecture and embedded in some courses the Faculty of Fisheries is embedding this subject into several courses
Curriculum update in 2012 This year process of curriculum review and evaluation is being under way again to prepare revised curriculum to be implemented in September 2012 This is a good moment to propose standardization skills and knowledge to be included in the curriculum of more disciplines in the university
