BY SARA NEUSTADT Literature Autobiography

In a Dark, Dark Room This young children’s book is a short story book about things that are scary, but also bring some humor. My dad told me that when he would read to me, I would always request this book. I loved it so much because in everything that is encountered, there is something inside that has to be further investigated. In the last part, instead of having a dark closet or a dark room, there was a ghost. I would always get so excited at that part. I think this is a good book for children, because it lets children know that there is nothing really scary about the dark.

The Paper Princess This book is about a girl who loses her paper princess that she was making in a gust of wind. The princess tries her best to find the girl who made her and has a few encounters along the way. I loved this book because I thought the way the girl decorated her princess was so different and awesome. I also loved the different hair the princess tried on, since she blew away before the girl gave her hair. This is a good children’s book because it tells the moral to never give up and eventually you will find what you were looking for.

Where The Sidewalk Ends This is a book of poems and fictional stories. Everything in this book is cute and funny and I loved to memorize the poems. We have all read a story by Shel Silverstein. His writing is so creative and fun to read, and also very relatable. I remember reading the book in just minutes to myself because I had memorized all of the poems and short stories. I can still recite some stories today!

Harry Potter Series Harry Potter series are very popular in the 20 th century for teenagers to read. These series are so captivating and different than other books written today. When the first book came out, I was eleven years old, just like the characters so I was immediately drawn to it. Each year, there was a new book out and I was the same age so I was able to relate to the characters as well. Also, I loved that the books were so long and detailed, that it would take time and determination to read them.

A Land Remembered “A Land Remembered” is a story about a family living through generations in Southern Florida. It documents their struggles and strengths throughout the years of two or three generations. This is a required book to read for a class at FGCU. I was not too thrilled to read it, but I loved it. I have not met anyone who did not absolutely love this book, even people that hate to read. It is so realistic and interesting to read and learn about as well.

What is my Learning Style? My learning style shows that my strongest style is bodily/physical. I love being active and keeping busy. Also, it shows that I am strong in the Naturalistic section. This is very true because I love being outside and gardening with my parents. Musical shows to be a weak point for me. I played the piano for six years, but that is my only connection to music. I cannot sing and I am terrible at dancing.
