Facility Construction Project Workplan Background – Part 1 Last Facility Workplan developed in August 2010 Since that time, more than $30 million in projects have been completed –Solar Installations –Lodi High Modernization and CTE Science Classrooms –Lockeford Addition –Lawrence Addition Phase 3 –Independence and Katnich School Relocations –Playground Equipment Replacement –WiFi installation at various sites –Borchardt/Morgan Painting –Cafeteria Upgrades at Lodi High and Lodi Middle

Facility Construction Project Workplan Background – Part 2 In addition to these completed projects, nearly $10 million in jobs are now either underway or about to begin. –Lodi High Renovation –Millswood/McAuliffe Exterior School and Tokay High Gym Interior Painting –Cafeteria Upgrades at Davis and Heritage Schools –HVAC Replacement at Heritage, Creekside and Vinewood Schools –Fire Alarm Upgrade at 6 North Stockton Sites

Facility Construction Project Workplan Project Funding 101 All projects completed by Facilities and Planning are funded from three primary sources: –Fund 21 (formerly Measure K) –Fund 22 (Measure L) –Fund 14 (Deferred Maintenance)

Facility Construction Project Workplan Project Funding 101 Fund 21 (Formerly known as Measure K) –Funds come primarily from reimbursements through the state building program for projects completed by the District using local funds –Funds can be used for any capital construction project –Non-sweepable account

Facility Construction Project Workplan Project Funding 101 Fund 22 (Measure L) –Funds come from Measure L Bond sales –Funds can only be used to support project types specifically identified in the Measure L Bond voter- approved language New School Construction, Planning & Related Expenses Safety Related Projects –Non-sweepable account

Facility Construction Project Workplan Project Funding 101 Fund 14 (Deferred Maintenance) –Funds come from two sources Local District contribution State match –Unlike years past, no mandated District contribution; hence no expected state match –Can be used to fund major school site maintenance only –Sweepable account

Facility Construction Project Workplan Workplan Development Projects identified through a variety of sources –Existing pending applications through the state Emergency Repair Program –Current District Deferred Maintenance Plan –Recently completed major facility needs assessment
