Northern Metropolitan Region Ultranet Team 2008 Foundation eLearning planning in some areas of the school. Focus on maintaining current eLearning resources and activities. Mostly reactive to new eLearning issues. Emergent eLearning planning is evident across all areas of the school. Focus on improvement and proactive responses to eLearning issues. Innovative eLearning is used to support innovative activities in the school. New ideas are developed onsite or adapted to suit the school. Key uses of ICT in the school are identified and developed by appropriate staff. Transformative eLearning is used to support school transformation. ICT influences the curriculum and how it is taught. Students, parents and teachers develop new relationships and learn in new environments. ICT Leadership  School leadership is not actively engaged with ICT planning  School leadership supports an ICT vision and ICT use across the school  School leadership has integrated innovative ICT uses into school strategic planning  School leadership recognises and acts on the potential of ICT to support whole school transformation. Student ICT Capability  The school has not identified student ICT capabilities  Teachers have identified students’ ICT capabilities and focus on developing ICT skills  The school has identified students’ ICT capabilities and designs eLearning activities to engage or challenge students.  Students work with the school to improve their ICT capability. The school capitalises on students’ access to personal technology. Learning Places and Spaces  eLearning is focussed on standard ICT in the classroom or lab.  A range of networked ICT resources are available for access at any time and any place.  The school’s ICT resources and curriculum supports concurrent learning and eLearning extending beyond the physical school environment.  ICT offers personalised learning through a wide range of technologies, locations and a student centred curriculum. Learning, Teaching, Assessment and Reporting  eLearning is limited to delivering some regular curriculum activities  eLearning occurs at different levels and rates in individual classrooms.  eLearning is coordinated across the school to support all aspects of teaching and learning. Innovation is supported but not proven to improve student learning.  ICT offers a new curriculum and a new way to teach, assess and report. All staff share a common eLearning pedagogical framework. ICT Professional Learning  ICT professional learning is undertaken by interested teachers through ad-hoc opportunities  The school manages ICT professional learning activities for all staff. Programs are isolated and are not followed up.  Schools plan coordinated ICT professional learning opportunities emphasising reflection to inform professional practice  Schools lead an ICT professional learning community, including personalised and integrated professional learning programs for all staff. Learning Communities  eLearning is limited to activities within individual classrooms  eLearning programs share common goals within the school community  The school community regularly discusses the use of ICT and integrates eLearning into existing school communication  ICT is used to develop new and agreed ways of communication, collaboration and professional discussions within the community.
