Region A large indefinite portion on the earth’s surface. There are five regions in the United States 1. Northeast 2. Southeast 3. Midwest 4. Southwest 5. West

North East This Area includes such states as MD,DE,PA,NY,VT, ME,RI,NJ,NH,CT and MA. This area experiences colder temperatures and winter like conditions.

Southeast This Region includes GA,FL,AL,LA,TN,NC, SC,VA and MS. This area of the country experiences Hurricanes and warm weather.

Midwest This are experiences many weather conditions including snow and fierce wind This are includes WI,MN,MI,OH,IN,IL,K Y.

South West This are experiences many weather conditions like tornados and is also in the desert area.

West

Rocky Mountain Region If there was a 6 th region which most people don’t consider a 6 th it would be the Rocky Mountain area. This are is where the Rocky Mountain chain runs.

Attributes that States Share States share many Attributes and I am not just talking about Geographically. States can share Time Zones which are the Central, Eastern, Rocky Mountain, and Pacific. Every state has a state tree such as Iowa’s Oak Tree Every State has a Flower such as Michigan’s Appleblossor

More Attributes Every State has a state Capital, Bird, Region, and nick name. Georgia is known as the Peach State

Kentucky 15 th State admitted into the United States State Capital is Frankfort State Bird is Cardinal Flower is Goldenrod Birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, Tom Cruise, and Johnny Dep.
