The New Hampshire state capitol building was built in 1816 and finished in It was built out of New Hampshire granite. It is located in Concord. The New Hampshire state capitol approximately cost $82,000. One of the most impressive features of the new building was its huge gold-painted wooden eagle, placed on the Capitol dome in 1818.

TOURIST ATTRACTION SLIDE # 1 New Hampshire is home to the White Mountains. Tourists go to New Hampshire for a lot of outdoor recreation like skiing, hiking, and snowboarding. The mountains are also great in the summer for mountain bike riding and hiking excursions.

People go to New Hampshire to go to amusement parks like Canibe Lake. It has a water park too. It has the biggest rollercoaster you will ever see. Canibe Lake opened in 1906.

There were two men named John Mason & Ferdinando Gorges who were the founders of New Hampshire (they also found Maine.) New Hampshire was named after a place in England called Hampshire. New Hampshire was settled by Europeans at Odiorne’s Point in Rye (near Portsmouth) by a group of fishermen from England under David Thompson in 1623.

New Hampshire university opened in 1868 as state college of agriculture and mechanic arts. It is located in Manchester, New Hampshire with over 15,000 students there. The school has the Earth, Ocean, and Space Center and a noteworthy creative arts center. About 2,600 students attend credit and continuing education programs at New Hampshire University every year.Ocean
