Packaging & Development Introduction: – The main objective of the packaging development is to offer the consumers with attractive and user friendly packaging. Objective: – To deliver compatible packaging materials, ergonomically designed and help easy dispensing and which stands out from rest of the competition

To constantly upgrade and move along with the international trends in packaging.

Major Responsibilities To design offer compatible laminate for better stability, which retains the contents properties like aroma/fragrance, viscosity and color. To provide innovative dispensing mechanism and elegant design of option in rigid packaging. To conduct compatibility /Stability/Shelf life Study to declare shelf life. On approval coordinate follow-up on mould making and conducting trial for timely delivery of new product.

Cont… To conduct trail filling and freeze sachet size. Issue KLD (Key Line Drawing) to marketing /design agency for art work development Approving the art work based on printability Process ability, keeping future changes in mind like MRP, Manufacturing etc.

Cont… New mould validation for containers, cap, plug. Freeze carton box (shippers) size & structure. Conduct transit trials for evaluation of transport worthiness. Release specification of all packaging materials for – Production at supplier end, – Incoming inspection at receiving end and – To work out the costing.

Packaging Interlink with other Departments Marketing: For bench marking & size perception requirements of package. Legal: Declaration. For product packaging and design. Sourcing: Interact with the selected vendors for better pricing. Logistics: For transport worthiness, depend on loading, can stock the products Sales and Distribution: For clustering & bundling.

Cont… Operations& Manufacturing: – For filling feasibility (machines run continuously without damaging the packaging design) coordinate with the operations for cost benefit analysis and higher output and stoppage free line production. Accounts& Finance: – Workout the case configuration for improved margin cross GMP (Gross Margin Price).

Cont… HEPL: – They are the creative design agencies for our packaging design and graphics especially for food Products.. R&D: – For product self life study / compatibility for specified ingredients. – Packaging development designs as per R & D's expectation and standards recommended by R&D especially in dosage/delivery per dispensing Eg: 1ml of content per squeeze
