Frankin 1 Renee Franklin Ms. Monahan English 1 29 April 2012 Perceived Motivations Throughout literature, authors have toyed with the concept of love. William Shakespeare is no exception. In his famous tragedy Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare portrays two teen lovers who, separated by family strife, long to be together. This longing is perceived by readers, however, as lust rather than love.
