Habitat Conifer forests, especially old-growth forests.
Food They eat Hickory nuts and acorns, peanuts,pecans, sunflower seeds.
Physical Appearance The squirrel is 9-17 inches long,tail about 4-7 inches long. Has a flattened tail with cinnamon brown fur.
Behavior They have nests sometimes they make dreys that are not cavities during warmer months natal nests and aggregate nests shared with related or unrelated individuals during winter.
Adaptation They have adapted wing like flaps so they can glide.
Fun Facts Flying squirrels really dont fly they glide because the wind carries them in to the air. They extend there legs and pull out there flaps and run off a branch. Then its starts to glide. Thanks for watching.
