Orixemoodle Speaking Ane Izagirre 2.D

Orixemoodle lessons Every two weeks we went to the computer room. There we worked around different topics.

Food pyramid After having found information, we planned a healthy diet. We learned that it is important to eat different type of foods that give us vitamins and nutrients.

To continue with food, we discuss if school cafeterias should serve only healthy food or not.

Diversity in clothes First we watched a video where appear the different styles that women can wear. Afterwards, we though about why people can be discriminated for their clothing.

Fashion To continue with clothes, we spoke about fashion and how it affects us. Here we saw that sometimes we are fashion victims.

Christmas During Christmas we all sang together the wonderful song “War is over”.

The Oscars We watched some videos of The Oscars’ night and afterwards we spoke about the big importance that has it in our Country. We noticed that a lot of TV programmes and magazines speak about it every year in our Country and that a lot of people follow it with emotion.

This year, for example, two billion viewers follow it by TV. Apart from the prizes, one of the things that people like more is to see the actress walking in the red carpet. Then, everybody speak about their dresses.

Nuclear power debate We spoke about Japan’s disaster too; and after seeing some photos that were really hard, we notice that although it didn’t happen here, it has a lot of importance because we see that it can happen the same in our Country because we have some nuclear power plants. The Japan’s disaster started a debate in our Country.

Proponents of nuclear energy argue that nuclear power is a sustainable energy source which reduces carbon emissions and can increase energy security. Opponents say that nuclear power causes many threats to people and the environment. These threats include the unsolved problem of radioactive nuclear waste. They also contend that reactors themselves are enormously complex machines where many things can and do go wrong, and there have been many serious nuclear accidents.

In my case, I agree with the critics and I also thing that although it is a sustainable energy source, it is extremely dangerous as we have seen with the disaster of Japan. Unfortunately, in some months people will forget what has happened in Japan like it happen with the disaster of Haiti.

Speaking Every two weeks we have had speaking lessons with Cassi. They have been really nice classes where we have spoken about different topics such as California, Carnivals, food or the Japanese Tsunami.

English lessons have been a really useful classes where I have improved my knowledge and my English!!!
