Each week we will be introducing one of Allah's attributes. We will be learning them in Arabic and understanding the meaning of each attribute. ALLAH We will be reflecting on how Allah has demonstrated his attributes through our daily lives. Allah (swt) is at the centre of all our learning:

Prophet Mohamed we will be focusing on Prophet Mohammed (S) through out the whole year. Each week recognising a part of his life where each child will compile their own personal time line for the prophet Mohammed (S) Prophet Yunis In term one we will be learning about the story of Prophet Yunis. Reinforcing the idea that Allah is the only one who can help us through our du’as to him. Prophet Yousef In term two we will be learning about the story of Prophet Yousef. Reinforcing that we should not show off and that we should forgive others. Prophet Hud In term three we will be learning about the story of Prophet Hud. Reinforcing that we always need to keep our trust in Allah. Prophets We learn about Prophet Mohammad (S) and other amazing personalities in the Qur’an:

Wudhu and Prayers In the first term of the year we will be focussing on why me make wudhu. We continue to reinforce it in term two. In the second term we will be focusing on the main action of prayers, respecting prayer time and the people praying. We will continue to reinforce it in term three. By term four the children will have the opportunity to implement what they have learnt during the school prayer times.

HAJJ We will be going over the story of Prophet Ibrahim briefly, explaining why we go to hajj and going over the steps of Hajj. EID During this time the children will have the opportunity to celebrate Eid and do something fun in class to take home to their parents or siblings. We also have our Eid fun day at school with jumping castles and celebrations. RAMADAN We will be going through all the steps of Ramadan, from sighting the moon, things we should do during Ramadan and reinforcing basic characteristics of the Prophet Mohammed (S) eg: being patient and being generous.

AKHLAQ (MANNERS) Mannerism of waking up and going to sleep eg: brushing your teeth, making sure your parents are happy with you, reading Quran etc. Mannerism of talking eg: speaking with respect to your elders, not yelling and shouting, making sure you put your hands up in class etc. Reinforcing honesty eg: explaining to the children the importance of being truthful.

Islamic Practices Teaching the children to always remember Allah and Islamic Practice throughout the day such as: what we say before we eat, how do we greet people, how should we treat one another. We will also be learning one Du’a every term ex; what we say when we enter the bathroom.
